COMMITMENT TO PUBLIC SERVICE

Jason currently serves as State Representative for the 69th House District.  He is a member of the General Assembly's Public Safety and Security, Energy and Technology, and Commerce Committees.  Before being elected as State Representative, Jason was elected to five terms on the Southbury Board of Selectmen, where he served as Chairman Pro Tempore and played a central role in the Town's effort to form an independent police department.  He previously served as Vice Chairman of the Charter Revision Commission (2013-2014). Before moving to Southbury in 2009, he served as an elected member of the Seymour Board of Education.

Throughout his time in public service, Jason has taken a results-driven, data-based approach to decision making, while also advocating for transparency, civil discourse, and collaboration in government. Jason has prioritized fiscal responsibility through budgetary oversight, as well as support for education and local emergency services.  He is a strong supporter of local police, fire, EMS and emergency management teams.  He is known as a consensus builder who focuses on results over partisan politics.

Jason's priorities include lowering Connecticut's exorbitant energy costs, supporting public safety and emergency services, opposing unfunded mandates and excessive legislative overreach, and protecting the right of our towns to govern themselves.  His focus in the year ahead will remain supporting common sense policies to make Connecticut more affordable and reduce the cost of living.

Jason has always had a passion for public service, and has always looked for ways to serve his community. He is looking forward to continuing his service in Hartford as your State Representative to help build a stronger, more prosperous, and more affordable Connecticut.

ADVOCATE FOR THE 69TH DISTRICT

Jason's service in Hartford has been both rewarding and productive, and he has valued the opportunity to connect with many residents and local leaders across Bridgewater, New Milford, Roxbury and Southbury.  Jason is passionate about public service and is looking forward to continuing to serve the residents of the 69th District: “I have the professional experience, the record of government service, and the drive and ability to get things done.  Our residents deserve strong, common sense leadership in Hartford.  It would be my great honor to continue representing the citizens of the 69th District to help build a more affordable and prosperous Connecticut.
