House Republican Leader Candelora Endorses Buchsbaum Ahead of August 13 Primary

Southbury Selectman Jason Buchsbaum, the endorsed Republican candidate in the 69th House District primary, has secured a key endorsement from Connecticut House Republican Leader Vincent Candelora (86th House District).  The 69th District includes Bridgewater, Roxbury, the majority of Southbury and a portion of New Milford.

"Jason Buchsbaum's passion for public service is unmistakable, given his extensive volunteer work in various roles within local government. His vast experience, coupled with his professional background, makes him an ideal candidate for a seat in the state legislature,” said Candelora. He continued, “we need more House members who truly understand the needs and priorities of our suburban and rural communities. I am confident that Jason will excel as an advocate for the residents of the 69th District, making principled policy decisions aligned with core Republican values of affordability and limited government. I wholeheartedly support his candidacy for state representative."

Buchsbaum has also received endorsements from other state legislators who serve parts of the 69th District and its neighboring towns, including Senate Republican Leader Steve Harding (30th Senate District), Senator Eric Berthel (32nd Senate District), Representative Pat Callahan (108th House District), Representative Bill Pizzuto (71st House District), as well as several others from outside the area. Southbury First Selectman Jeff Manville and New Milford Mayor Pete Bass have also endorsed Buchsbaum.

“I’m honored to have earned the support of both our House and Senate Republican Leaders,” said Buchsbaum. “Our local party leadership, and now our state party leadership have spoken, and they agree that I am the best candidate to retain this critical Republican seat.”

The Republican Primary will be held August 13. As the endorsed candidate, Mr. Buchsbaum’s name will be on Row A of the ballot.
